Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Mehta's academic adventure started in Ithaca, NY, and then to Cleveland, OH, New York City, and Nashville, TN before finally heading to Minnesota for fellowship in Oculofacial, Reconstructive, and Orbital Surgery. He has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters, and has given many educational talks. Dr. Mehta is passionate about patient care, medical education, innovations in healthcare technology, and healthcare policy. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and tennis, and international travel.
Dr. Mehta is a Board-Certified Physician. He currently sees patients in McLean, VA and Bethesda, MD.

Oculofacial Plastics and Orbital surgeons are board-certified physicians that completed an extra 2 years of training at an exclusive and accredited ASOPRS Fellowship after completing 3 years of Ophthalmology Residency, 1 year of Medicine Internship, 4 years of medical school, and 4 years of college. We focus on taking care of the structures and tissues behind and around the eyes. This includes functional, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery of the eye sockets, tear drainage system, eyelids, eyebrows, and face. We are also trained in providing minimally-invasive, non-surgical treatments such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, lasers, and microneedling.
